GREAT economic news! SO why is no one reporting it?

I was a journalist for 20 years before moving to the United States. I know how I conducted myself when I was in the Fourth Estate and I know I never had an agenda.

It would appear however that there are a lot of journalists and more importantly, news organisations, that do have an agenda these days.

For example, did you know that the consumer confidence figure for the country reached its highest level in SIX YEARS last month? I didn't until I dug up the information myself. Oh and I watch the news EVERY NIGHT. Not only is that figure at a six year high, but the other data within those figures is also impressive. Something called The Expectations Index which gauges attitudes about the future, also rose to a number not seen for FIVE YEARS and TEN MONTHS. The Present Situation Index is also at that five year ten month high. So why I ask myself, when the consumer confidence figures dips by half a point, is it major national news?

And while we are talking about great news, did you know that the Pending Home Sales figure just recorded its biggest monthly gain in three years? Me neither!
