Luxury homes in the context of Cary Real estate in the Triangle are new and resale homes priced at $500,000 or above. Currently there is an oversupply with 17 month of inventory. The good news is that with the right mix of staging, pricing and marketing, these homes are selling.
In the Cary area there were 51 luxury homes that closed in the first quarter of 2010. The average "days on market" were 182, with high-end townhomes seeing the longest sales cycle.
The top 10 subdivisions for luxury home sales in the Triangle in the first quarter of 2010 were:
- Preston
- Governors Club
- Wakefield
- Budleigh
- Cary Park
- The Preserve at Jordan Lake
- Southern Village
- The Registry
- Glenkirk
- Meadowmont
