365 Things To Do In Austin, Texas: Red Bud Isle

Today felt like a day to reach out to our furry friends and blog on something that they too can enjoy and take part in. I absolutely love taking my dog down here, he goes crazy, actually at any dog park he does. Last month we were at Auditorium Shores and someone asked me if my dog, "rode the short bus" because he was just so excited to be there. I digress.

Back to Red Bud, it really is like a little Isle of Doggie Heaven. There are so many places for your dogs to run off lease as you walk the trail they can go down and get in the water. I like it best when there is some current to the water because play fetch a few times in that man that really will tire out your little buddy.

This 13 Acre park located in the heart of Austin is the perfect place for both you and your pet to get lost as you circle the shaded loop. The total length of the trail is .5 miles so it is very doable for anyone who wants to spend some time with their pooch.

Visit Friends of Red Bud Isle http://www.redbudisle.org/ to learn more about the steps they have taken to improve the park and projects that have helped foster.

I am sure that we can all agree, aside from the parking issues here this is a true Austin Treasure and that the furry friends do love it here.

And remember, always pick up after your pooch.

I travel to Austin 3 or 4 times a year, so I had to check out the post.  I can't bring my pooch, but maybe I will pass by in Sept.  :)
