Massachusetts Home Sales Up in April
Homes sales and prices have seen an increase in Massachusetts this spring. According to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors® (MAR) sales in April in the state experienced near-record increases in April compared to last year.
The continuation of historically-low interest rates has certainly fueled the housing market in Massachusetts and the big push of buyers getting in on the tax credit last month also helped to move buyers off of the fence.
Following 23 straight months of declines, inventory of single-family homes as well as condos also increased for the second straight month.
Locally, in the Metrowest area, the average sale price for the month of April increased in most towns.

Claudette -- what a great report. However, it seem to direcly contradict the recently released Case Shiller report .. and I think it makes it very confusing for buyers and sellers.
