Wow over 90 degrees today!

I have a rule (some do not like it) when it is over 90 degrees and I am showing homes, I wear shorts. I have heard other agents say that they always where a tie, or slacks, but I can tell you when you go in and out of several homes in hot weather, you want to be comfortable.

I also recommend to my clients to dress comfortably!

Remember, showing Charlottesville Real Estate , one of my favorite things to do with clients so if you see me driving around the Charlottesville or Crozet area, give me a wave or honk!

Call or email me if you need anything

Can't argue with comfort. As summer approaches I will be ditching the long sleeves and tie - actually I never wear them!

I'm putting mine on TODAY for sure......long flowing dress is an excellent alternative * for ME * not for YOU; however, shorts are already out of the closet!!!

Putting on the capri's and flip flops today to take photos for a new listing.  Time to be sensible and not get heatstroke!  Have a great day in Charlottesville!

Humidity, real estate hustle, long sleeves and blazers/ties don't work. Tank top and flip flops and the Jimmy Buffett look don't look so professional though.

Charles - I have the capri's out of the drawer, but they are out most of the year down here. I wear slacks to closings but if I am on the beaches showing homes and it is hot, capri's and sandals are the rule of thumb 10 months of the year!!!

When I'm working with a buyer showing homes, it's always business casual here in the Phoenix area. Short sleeve shirt and trousers. I don't care if it's 120 degrees out, which we get on occasion, no shorts for me when I'm with a client.

When I'm out on my own taking photos or working on my rehab then I dress down comfortably; but not with clients.

I see absolutely NOTHING wrong with that...I can't believe you wait until 90 degrees!  I came from the corporate world of suits/blazers/pantyhose/etc and most of that went out the door when I got into real estate...I still dress professionally, but it sure is a different world...very casual!

Hi Charles,

Women definitely have the advantage when summer clothes are concerned. We can dress it up and still be very cool - even without pantyhose on :)

I see nothing wrong with a man wearing shorts - just don't wear socks with sandals, k?

Charles:  I wouldn't hold shorts against you if I were your client, going out with you on a 90 degree day.  Best to be comfortable so you can spend the maximum amount of time with your clients.

Charles, It is't that hot here in WV...about 75 degrees.  I usually dress "elegantly casual".  A term my husband uses when I say what is the dress code....

Smart COOL man!  I use to always wear a suit when I met with clients....however times have changed and so has clothing.  You can still look sharp in comfy clothing!!  Stay cool! :)

Best part of being a woman!  We get to wear a dress and be cool.  I'm in Richmond, just down the road from you, and I love "dress season"
