Wanted: 1 Facebook Virgin

By
Education & Training with Bestagents Inc.

I have been asked to create and produce a screen video of ‘How to set up a page on Facebook’ and need a volunteer.   I’m looking for an established real estate professional who does not have a Facebook account but is willing and able to be mentored and coached through the process.

The Facebook page we build will be a personal/business page and I will be illustrating during the tutorial how to load information, control privacy settings, upload images and everything else that goes with it.   I need to record the step-by-step actions required from the ground up.    There will be no cost and the volunteer will receive a DVD of the complete program.

I’m fortunate to have considerable experience in this area and look forward to working with someone who is ready to brace this exciting new technology and leverage it for great success.
I don’t care how old or young you are, you just need to be established in your area with listings and a successful track record in real estate sales.   You need to be a full time real estate professional with some computer skills.  You will not be a nerd.....  yet!

If you are interested please send me a quick email to raywood@bestagents.com.au  and I will get back to you once I have chosen the most appropriate candidate.

Cheers and warm regards to all.  Have a wonderful Friday! Ray

Funny-I just started getting serious about FB recently.  I've spent time on blogs & twitter and let my FB slide.  Finally even sent out some "Like" requests today for my business page.  I still see a lot of agents promoting way to much real estate on thier personal pages.  I'm trying to make sure I keep the right balance.

I'm a little leary about the FB thing.  I have a personal page under my maiden name - so clients can't see it and see that I went to this or that last weekend.  One instance kind of cemented it.  I was at a rehersal dinner party for a wedding of a friend, while pictures were being taken one guest asked me to hold their cigarette and the other asked me to hold their beer while they got their pictures taken.  Well my friends thought this was so funny they apparently snapped my picture and then put it on facebook and it showed up on my page.  Now in the area of the country I'm in, that picture could cost me business.  Since it's on just a personal page and no clients have access, it wasn't a big deal - but it could have been.

It was a big lesson on you better know how to stop other people's pictures from being tagged to your page.  I've seen this several times with other friends who have had embarassing pictures or comments show up on their pages.

Ray,

Very interesting, but I'm a buyers' agent. I'm the second agent on a number of listings. Howvever, I don't have a local area where I do most of my business.

Over the next few weks I need to get Facebook up and running myself.

Brian
