Hi.

I use the walking trails at Fairfield Hills and I've noticed that the Relay For Life Road Race spray painted arrows are still apparent in many places on the blacktop pavement and walking path.  Would it be possible for your organization to remove them and perhaps in the future use non-permanent methods (like chalk, marking lime, temporary marking paint, arrows on signs, etc.) to mark the course?  I notice that when other organizations, like the 2nd Company Governor's Horse Guard or the Newtown Bridle Lands Association use the FFH campus, course signs go up a week prior to their event and then are promptly removed in the week following the activity.

My concern arises because the arrows and double "R" s from the previous year (2009) Relay for Life were blocked out with MORE spray paint because the direction of the 2010 race had changed.  I'm afraid that each year your organization will continue to add more and more painted arrows and redacted arrows to the walking trails.  I realize you need to mark the course but  when your event is concluded the properties you utilize should be restored to  the way they looked before your event, that is, no markers. There is a better way and it would be nice if all the signage was temporary.
