Hiring an Assistant!

By
Real Estate Agent

Looking for some input from other realtors out there. can you help me out to give me an idea of what you are making your assistant do now. The market has changed and Im alittle worried that should it change for the bad here, I wont be able to keep them. Ive only had my assistant for 3 years...and our market was really good so i could afford it. Give me some input

What are you paying your assistant now days?

What are there job descrptions?

Do you think its worth it?

Scott,

You should consider an Virtual Assistant. On the home page of this site, you can find quite a few. Read their blogs and go from there.

It's worth it when you figure out what you're making per hour.  And if you make $300 an hour selling houses, then YES you hire someone at $15 an hour to do the clerical stuff that isn't in front of clients.

Hi Scott,

I have a temp assistant which is a friend of mine come in from time to time.  Usually just stuffs envelopes and works on databases and labels, etc.  Mostly direct mail marketing efforts.  Usually to new consumers or past clients and current business partners.

Hi Scott,

I would have to agree with Karen that a VA might be the way to go~ the main advantage being that a VA is only paid for time on task, no employee overhead, you would be surprised at what a VA can accomplish in 5-10 hours a month...well worth it!
