THE END IS IN SIGHT (A PHOTO BELOW)
About 10 years ago when my wife and I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area we would go to San Francisco as often as we could to attend many of the cultural and musical events that take place there.
THE PARADE
One day we attended the Gay Freedom Day Parade, and it was great.
If you are ever in San Francisco on that day plan to go and be prepared to have a great time. The floats and participants on the float are professionally done; very interesting and entertaining.
THE AUDIENCE
The audience is made up of all types of people, gay, straight, bi. You name it, and everyone is tolerant and respectful of the others rights and choices.
As my wife and I walked around after the parade we so many funny things happening. One that I recall was a young guy in drag who was having a difficult time walking in high heels.
HIS FIRST TIME IN HIGH HEELS
We stopped and talked to him for a minute and he showed us where the shoes had worn blisters on his heels. He said it was the first time he had worn high heels and made the mistake of not getting used to them before the parade.
SOMETIMES YOU JUST GET LUCKY
We took a ton of pictures of the parade and the activities afterwards, and they are all filed away in our 35mm slde boxes. However, there was one photo that was extremely lucky to get so we had prints made of that one.
We happened to be walking behind two guys who were arm in arm. One had on chaps with a bare butt. I raised the camera to take the picture and at that moment his partner reached over and patted him on the butt.
So here you have it.
