Thousands Of Riders Will Converge On The Memorials In A Parade Calling Rolling Thunder
Woodbridge Hotels Host Riders From Across The Fruited Plains
Please Give Riders Plenty Of Room On The Highways
Out Of Town Riders Need Room To Navigate Our Highways
If you have lived in Woodbridge for at least a year, you know about the rumble of motorcycles that punctuate the entire Memorial Day weekend as riders from across the fruited plains convene to ride in the Rolling Thunder parade.
Please folks, when you're on the highways, give riders extra room to maneuver, especially out-of-town riders who are not familiar with our highways.
My Dad is buried at Arlington cemetery.
He was among the speciial group of WWII bomber pilots who flew over North Africa, France, Germany, and lived to tell about it.
He was a humble man who spoke of the good times he shared with fellow pilots.
Dad didn't talk about the horrors he saw, or the friends he lost to the enemy in battle.
My brother and I earned our pilot's licenses because Dad inspired us to fly.
Dad flew with me from time to time, and his skills were superb.
Pardon me for some self-serving comments in this post.
I am humbled by the riders who come from far and wide to honor my Dad's service, along with the service of others.
Riders from states far and wide are here to honor those who died in battle, as well as those who lived so that others may remain free from tyranny.
