IT’S HUNTING SEASON FOR CABINS & LAND IN RED FEATHER LAKES, CO

By
Real Estate Agent with United Country Ponderosa Realty, Red Feather Lakes, Colorado

Statistics show that June, July, August and September are the months with the highest number of sales  for cabins and land in the Red Feather Lakes/Livermore area.

Even in an Un-BEAR-ably slow vacant land market....

I have One vacant land closing down, and One more to go!

My listing on Sheep Mountain Court, in Glacier View Meadows Subdivision closed at asking price last Wednesday!!

My buyer's closing on Lone Pine Drive, in Crystal Lakes Subdivision will be later this week.

Is this a sign that the market is turning and vacant land is beginning to move again?

With only 4 sales pending out of 190 listings, I don't think we are in the middle of a land rush, yet - but in August the market reports may tell a different story.

You have wanted to purchase some mountain property.  Want no more!  There is a great selection to choose from in the vacant land category, weekend cabins and custom homes.

It's time to start hunting now.

You'll have plenty of time to close and still enjoy your own special place in the mountains for the rest of the summer.

You with the gun, there, Mary. Ha, ha, what are you saying? Buy this home in Feather Lakes or I'll blast you between the eyes.

Seriously, sounds like a great buyer's market in Feather Lakes! You're just the agent to get the job done, whether it's listing a home in Feather Lakes or buying a home in Feather Lakes. At least your real estate clients know that you have a great sense of humor and are closing deals.

Hi Mary:

Congrats on the sales!  Hope to hear of many-many more!

Now that you have that gun in your arsenal, you'll for sure hunt down some more sales!  Just watch out for the bear behind you!!!

Mary- maybe if you spread the word about those "sparkly rocks" and wondered what made them sparkle, there'd be a "land rush" to see if there was any gold in them there hills! Congrats on the closing, good luck with many more.

Hi Mary!  As you well know in your great state you have to have a license to go hunting so I have taken the liberty to obtain you one.

Correct me if I am wrong, Mary, but the only thing you have been shooting is PICTURES! (Thought of that BEFORE I saw your comment above!! =O)  As you well know, the mountains are intoxicating in the summer, and EVERYONE wants to move and live there forever, but only a lucky few get to live out that dream, so a hunting season/summer cabin will suffice...Congrats on your recent successes!

Hi Lou, We are in the season, the snow is melted, the birds are chirping and it's great house hunting season!  Thank you for stopping in, I appreciate it Lou!

Hi Lee & Carol,  I hope your land sales pick up soon too.  I can understand choosing a home now, I suppose it depends on the buyers time frame and when they plan to build/move.  I'm glad you stopped by, thank you and have a great week!

Hi Jon, House hunting and land hunting are serious business :-) but, I like to have fun along the way.  Hope you are doing well, thanks for stopping by Jon!

Hi Craig, Thanks!  Even if it was Wabbit season, I would still only be hunting for property.  No animals were injured in the making of this post. :-)  Have a great week, I'm glad you stopped in, friend!

HaHa Elizabeth, that gun is not real, I would never harm a buyer or seller! LOL  You're right it really is a buyers market here, hunting down the right property is the fun part.

I love your new profile pic, I must have been sleeping yesterday because I did not notice it until today!  I'm glad you came by, "blast 'em between the eyes"  LOL  thanks for the laugh :-)

Hi Toula, Thank you, it's good to see some lot sales and I hope we see many, many more too! That little gun has created a lot of interesting comments.  It's always nice to see you, thanks Toula!

Hi Linda, With gold at the current price, if it was here, we would certainly have a land rush! Thanks for the congrats, I'm really excited that this season seems to be very busy, already. I appreciate you stopping by, thanks Linda!

Bruce you are too funny! But  I'm not hunting for people, I'm hunting for property for people and I already have a Real Estate License to do that LOL   The gun is only to scare off the wildlife :-)

Hi Cheryl, you are right, I only shoot pictures :-)  and you are also right about the mountains being intoxicating in the summer.  I was out with buyers yesterday and it was such a gorgeous day.."ah yes, this is why I live here" I said out loud!  They signed a contract, too!  I appreciate the congrats, thank you Cheryl!

Mary, you have been placed on the defensive this whole post defending your blog title that you are hunting land and cabins(not animals or people).  I took your bear and the prop you were holding all in fun and the license was a response to that.

Since I have added to your frustration I am prepared to give up watching OPRAH on TV for a month as a way to discipline myself for my misconduct.   ^_~

OK Bruce, and no Ice Cream for a week either!  :-)

Hi Myrl, I've used JibJab for my family too, they are so much fun when you get the whole clan in there dancing.  I stole borrowed my associates faces for St. Patricks Day and made them do an Irish Jig --- I think they liked it!  Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it Myrl!
