After Memorial Day

Memorial Day brings out the best in most of us. We run out and buy flags and celebrate our fallen hero's but what about after memorial Day? Do we really need a holiday to make us aware of the sacrifices that have been made by men and women protecting our freedoms? If I had only one request it would be when the celebrating is over please take care of the flag that was so proudly displayed. Seems like after the holidays you can always see flags laying on sides of roads or left in the weather until they have been destroyed. If you truly love the flag and what it represents treat it with respect everyday and take a moment every night to pray for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their Country.
