The New Orleans Protest Against BP and The Government’s paralysis in the oil spill crisis started in New Orleans’ French Quarter at 1pm today.  In spite of the rain, cheering crowds showed up with signs, yet major media was absent.  In exasperation, several of the protesters Tweeted:  Where are the nat'l news networks at the #bp #oilspill protest in New Orleans? What do we have to do?

Thank you Twitter for allowing us to get the latest news in the oil spill debacle, during this hour of darkness in America’s history!  The press has been censured and stifled by BP and its henchmen.  It is up to citizen journalists to disseminate the news in the greatest Environmental Disaster the World has ever seen.
