The Beauty of Riverwoods, Illinois in the Spring

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker

We just finished our Village Spring Clean-up celebration.  All our neighbors came to our home for coffee and bagels and then volunteered to clean up all the streets in our area including Deerfield Road.  I learned a lot about human nature during the clean-up.  All along Deerfield Road I picked up empty liquor bottles and beer cans.  I guess people are not only texting while they drive.  When I mentioned this to our police chief at the Village barbecue which followed the clean-up he was not at all surprised.  How sad!

This morning, Memorial Day, I was walking my dog and almost immediately saw a black squirrel.  How neat I thought, that will be the highlight of my day.  We turned the corner of the road and something the same golden color as my dog, Zoey, came dashing through the undergrowth.  At first I thought it was a coyote, but it came running back toward us. I couldn't believe it.  It was a newborn fawn who thought my dog was another fawn and wanted to play.  My dog thought the fawn was another dog and started wagging her tail and barking.  The fawn stopped in its tracks.  Deer don't usually bark.  Baby fawn got the message.  This was not another deer.  Mother deer and auntie deer just stood by watching all of this mini-drama while happily munching.

If you are the kind of person who would enjoy the wonders of nature, than Riverwoods is the place for you.  My husband and I have been the number one real estate agents in Riverwoods for the past 4 years.  We would be happy to find you the home of your dreams.  Contact us at www.Sherryandbill.com
