Muskegon is a great place to be. May 30 I spent the better part of the day at a Cottage on North Lake in the Twin Lake area of Muskegon county. The water was warm. 3 of my kids swam for 5 hours. Me and my Adult friend from Germany spent several hours Swimming. Then our kind friendly Muskegon neighbor offered us the use of his what seemed new pontoon boat. We drove around North Lake many times as all of the kids took turns driving. We then had a picnic on the deck over looking the lake.

What makes this extra special is that people like our Neighbors bill and Sue live where most folks would love to vacation in a home most people could own for 800 per month. For us it was a 20 minute drive. This place was a family cottage with 5 owners that share the use and responsibility. Muskegon has many lake and wounderful place to and be on the water. Water front homes in Muskegon start at about 80,000.

Today there are 139 water front properties for sale to choose from.

I'm from Detroit and 2 summers we rented a vacation home on a lake in Muskegon - the area was beautiful!  Water so clean, friendly people, great fishing!  I was a pre-teen then, but the most memorable part of the trips was a lady who walked her pet SKUNK on a leash!  It was grey and white and acted like a dog - pretty cool!
