Today, Memorial Day, is a Perfect Day to Share These Photos.

A couple of weeks ago we were privileged to attend our first Arlington Cemetery Burial. It was for the brother of a very dear friend. These photos captured a bit of the precision of the flag folding, the solemn dignity of full military honors, the beauty of the American Flag waving, the Washington Monument, the horse drawn caisson, the 21 gun salute and the honor and pride felt by so many!

Arlington Cemetary is an amazing place. I think military funerals are incredibly beautiful. My best friend was buried with some military honors and it was awe-inspiring to witness the traditions.

My former father-in-law is buried at Arlington. It is the only time I've been there for a service, although I visited many times as a tourist. The burial ceremony is something we shall never forget!
