Local produce farm in Sherwood gears up for a successful 2010 season...
Sherwood Oregon's "Schilchting Century Farm" (AKA Grammas' Nursery) is a great example of what Sherwood represents. The small town country charm so harmoniously blended with new, a local business catering to its loyal cliental, rich in history and deep family roots from generations past.
Head on down Roy Rogers Road and on the corner of Scholls - Sherwood Road you'll see acres and acres of farm fresh produce, corn fields, sun flowers, a pumpkin patch and of course the colorful country store. It's filled with seasonal delectable's, fresh jams, flowers for your garden, the biggest and most beautiful hanging baskets I've ever seen, bird seed, garden decor and more. I can't forget to mention the "Signature" 12 foot roosters and large butterfly flags flapping in the wind as they line the road to guide you in.
Schlichting Farm is open 7 days a week. Monday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sundays 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Their phone 503-625-3312 and address, 20225 SW Scholls - Sherwood Road, Sherwood Oregon 97140
Make sure to stop by for some great local produce - it's a wonderful environment. Remember, come October the harvest season will be in full swing... You'll love the pumpkin patch, hay rides, pumpkin popper and fall decor - There's so much to see and do, and a great way to "Discover Sherwood" and all it has to offer.
