Holiday Harbor is located direct bayfront in South Sarasota. This is one of those undiscovered areas of Sarasota real estate, as downtown bayfront tends to get all the attention. However, there are many reasons that this community should capture your interest if you are an avid boater.

 

Holiday Harbor is located on Sarasota Bay just south of the Gulf Gate area. This community, like it's neighbors, is sometimes overlooked as the entrance is right off the main road, Route 41 Tamiami Trail. However, as you drive down the streets the view quickly changes, and you are immersed in oak lined Florida streets leading directly to the Bay.

 

Holiday Harbor has landlocked, older ranch style homes, and no community boat ramp. These Sarasota homes are perfect for those who like the idea of a bayfront community, but don't need to be directly on the water. With no deed restrictions, residents are welcome to keep their boat trailered, and public access is available just minutes to both the north and south. Homes located on the Bay are, as you would expect - more expensive, and most renovated or rebuilt. But these newer homes with wide open views are far less expensive than those located just a few miles to the north, and represent an excellent opportunity for boaters to get full bayfront living at a lower cost (and lower taxes!)

 

But for all the savings, it is still only a 15 minute drive straight up the road to all downtown Sarasota offers; it is 15 minutes by boat to the Gulf of Mexico; Siesta Key is right across the Bay. On the mainland side, Holiday Harbor has a great location, only two minutes to the Potter Park YMCA and waterpark, newly refurbished mall, 12 theater cinema, restaurants, Gulf Gate Village, grocery and retail shopping,  as well as easy access to both  the south causeway to Siesta Key, and Osprey/Nokomis beach and water access just to the south.
