Chester Virginia Porch Activity-Picture Perfect Wednesday

I love birds.  Even had a couple as pets over the years.  But every Spring I have to fight with the feathery kind.  As soon as I hang my ferns on the porch, its like new construction time.  Nests, friends and family of the new tenants come by for visits, and a lot of ducking by my friends and family just to get in the door.

I try to stay on top of the situation and keep new tenants from taking over the ferns but I have lost the battle.  Now I will join forces with my stubborn, feathery neighbor and help keep her new home safe for the newest tenant to arrive soon! More ducking for a few more weeks I guess.

The sun is shining and life goes on.  Make the most of yours!

Very late to this post, but just wanted to say "birds of a feather", because I too, love the little guys, but never as a pet.  I love to look at them, and have had MANY build their nests over doors, in wreaths on doors, and had to re-route our entry to our home for weeks at a time, until they were safely flying...It has moved to the next generation as my son and d-i-l had a little family move in, hatch their babies, only to have a neighbor cat take them ALL out! =o(
