This is the fourth month that I've created this list. We're late with our April newbies because ActiveRain wasn't being nice to me in early May.
I don't include all members who joined in April 2010 because that would be exhausting since there usually are a few thousand members who join each month. Rather, there are qualifications to make my list here:
- Joined ActiveRain in April 2010.
- Must have uploaded a profile picture, have a completed profile, and have the name of a contact person.
- Fewer than 10,000 points — Those with more than 10,000 points are well on their way to experiencing the power of Playing in the Rain.
- At least five blog posts of their own and no more than five reblogs.
- No Featured Posts or blog posts with ten or more comments. — If you have a featured post or one with more than ten comments, you're well on your way to making lots of friends if you'll return comment for comment.
- 75% positive — In other words, if all you did was rant and rave about politics, sex, religion, etc., without offering solutions to what you were ranting and raving about, you didn't make my list.
These people weren't the most active of our April newbies, but they weren't the least active either. Instead, they are the people who have made a serious effort to Play in the Rain but might need that extra little push to keep it up, a push that I can provide them with this post and that you can provide them by visiting them.
So please go visit them, make them feel welcome, encourage the non-Rainmakers to upgrade, and help these newbies see the power of Playing in the Rain with us.

Nice list, Jim, and welcome to all!
Hi Jim. It's nice to see so many of the newbies have become "Rainmakers." Hope the rest join us soon.
What a great idea. I'll check some of them out.
Jim.....Good job! Welcome to all the newbies!
Welcome to all the newbies! If you're not a rainmaker it's time to make that happen - you do want to reach the general public, right? Of course you do!
How do you do a search to get that list? It seems like a lot of work.
Welcome all.
Thanks Jim, and welcomee aboard all.
Welcome to all newbies and congrats for becoming Rainmakers! Great list Jim!
Jim excellent job welcoming the newbies...welcome to all!! :) ~laura cerrano
Hey, Everyone - Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
I'm trying to catch up on all my blog posts since I've been neglecting them, for good cause, though, since I've been busy.
Since this post is old, I won't respond to each and every comment like so many people do. Rather, I'll read through all the comments and respond to any that have questions or otherwise need a response.
I'll also be by your blog soon to return the favor by reading your posts and leaving comments, too. Do unto others as they have already done unto you. lol
Again, thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. Make it a great day, a great week, a great month, and finish out 2010 on a natural high!
