Hi Fran...The last sentence says it all...Enjoy the day and the weekend.
We all need to be able to make enough money to to be able to afford to be in this business that we love, but still very often the most rewarding closings are the ones that had the least monetary reward.
Ernie: I'm all baseballed out after a long baseball weekend...but, my son Jared got a gameball for his play in Sunday night's game, and he had a great weekend playing 6 games in total in his first tournament baseball...!!!
Deanne: That's the long and the short of it...!!!
Thanks, Fran
Fran I was a Wall Street Banker (when it was a good thing) and have held down some pretty serious jobs along the way. I discovered in my life that Real Estate and this profession is where I want to be. I truely enjoy this work. It is very rewarding on many levels. But when I got into the business I was shocked at what folks thought about us ! . I was shocked at some of the behaviour of other real estate folks that served to strengthen these stereotypes of realtors.
For a while I was pretty incensed about it all because I thought, hey that's not me they are talking about. Where I am now is I am still pretty touchy about the "real estate joke" But I have made it my goal to be a priavte property advocate and take time to explain why realtors are the best friends property owners have. It is hard to turn the other cheek. But what else can we do but show by our example and be patient when thpatience is what is called for. .Great post. you put a lot of what I have thought about in this matter on paper
Charlie,
That attitude is what is needed to change this industry for the better...One Customer at a time...!!!
Thanks, Fran
