Living Riviera Maya - It's My Life

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Living Riviera Maya Real Estate Mexico

Seven years ago, I came from Whistler, BC, Canada to Riviera Maya Mexico for six months to launch the first phase of the now well known Rosewood at Mayakoba Condo Hotel and Residences. It was a great success.  The Rosewood is now a great place to stay, golf on the Greg Norman Championship golf course, and enjoy the beaches, the restaurants, the spas, the scenery, the wildlife, and climate.  I'm still here.

As a top selling agent back home who also loves the sun and the water, I immediately saw the potential in refocusing both my career and my life in this area.  Though over the past few years, I have worked on occasional projects back in my native Canada, my home is here now.

I am the now owner/broker of Living Riviera Maya, and along with my multicultural and multilingual team, am committed to help potential buyers find the best properties to fit your lifestyle and price tier and then negotiate the best prices and terms.  We understand the local laws and customs, so we can make sure that your transaction is sound, legal, and secure. After the purchase we work to connect you to our associates in property management, construction, decoration.

If you have been here to this part of the world, you will understand why when it was time to go "home", I was enchanted and didn't want to leave. The area has the same effect on many visitors who decide to buy a vacation home here.Living Riviera Maya is not just my company name - it's my life.

Who wouldn't be captivated? Originally, a stop on the way to catch the ferry to Cozumel where people went to scuba dive, Playa del Carmen was a small fishing village on the Yucatan Peninsula that developed a tourist following of its own. Averaging 75°year round, the area features white beaches and turquoise waters, plus cenotes ( or open pools of fresh water, connecting to subterranean water) that are inviting fresh water diving spots.

Playa del Carmen is at north most point of the Riviera Maya tourist district developed along coastal Highway 307, in the late 1990's.  The area is home to Playacar, a residential and tourist development that includes homes, hotels, a golf course, and an aviary.  Local officials as well as the community hopes to retain the original fishing village allure of the town, so hopes to develop it as an artist colony and limit the construction of buildings over four stories.

Elsewhere in the Riviera Maya, resorts and smaller boutique hotels cater to wealthy tourists, but the beautiful reefs of the area, Mayan ruins, and white beaches draw in those who seek beauty and excitement.  The area is an ideal location of those who hope to invest in real estate that can serve as an exotic vacation spot for part of the year and as rental property for the rest.

Living Riviera Maya Realty can help you buy a dream home in a dream location so Riviera Maya can be your life too. If you are not ready to make Mexico your full time home, Judi and her team can find you great investment property.   Check out our Riviera Maya listings and then call Judi.
