Jacksonville FL was recently named one of the top 10 cities in America where it is more affordable to buy a home than it is to rent. Trulia.com ran a rent vs. buy analysis of the top 50 cities and Jacksonville Florida showed up at #7 on the list!
The analysis was done by comparing the average list price of two bedroom condos for sale versus the average rent for two bedroom apartments, condos and townhouses. The study took into account the costs of homeownership including insurance, property taxes, and mortgage interest deduction on income tax. It also assessed renter's costs.
Only one other Florida city made the top 10 and it was Miami at #3. Jacksonville remains one of Florida's most stable real estate markets and the Trulia analysis supports this. Come check us out!
