Congratulations Gilbert - you are the fastest growing 'big' suburb in America!

This article just came out at realestate.msn.com. It discusses the fastest growing suburbs in America. Sure, some of the fastest growing 'burbs' are located in California (typically the affordable ones) and in Texas (where sprawl is the name of the game). Arizona has a couple also. Buckeye, Surprise and Goodyear make the list...they are actually in the top 5.

As far as 'larger' suburbs go, ie ones with > 100,000 population - guess who's first? Yup, good ol' Gilbert. Surprised? Have you driven around Gilbert lately? Brand new HOOOOGE shopping center? Construction galore? Well, i'm not. So congratulations Gilbert!!!

I meant to click on the link the other day when I saw it but didn't. Where is Gilbert? AZ? I guess I better go find the article! LOL

Congratulations. Arizona is a great state and its no wnoder we have been growing at record numbers over the years.

YAY GILBERT! More new commercial/retail = more new jobs in the area = more housing needed!

Hi Kaushik,

I live in the Fox Valley of Illinos and we had 3 cities on the list with Plainfield at #5. The growth was 133.9%.
