Sales were up last month due to the near expiration of the federal tax credits. But it's interesting that the increase in sales was not at all uniform across our metro area. Some areas were actually down, while others were up way more than average.

Most of the increased sales were not due to distressed properties. Tax credit buyers shided away from short sales in particular. So regular sales were up as a fraction of total sales.
