7 Comments on Nevada Mortgage Industry: Mortgage Agents Update

Thats actually good news for us who were here before the explosion.  However, this business cannot be anymore stressful or difficult today and I dont blame a single one of them.

Aaron:  It definately gives us less competition but how many of these people actually new what thy were doing?

The majority of new agents are out of the business in the first year. Its worse when the market cools like now.

The concern is not are we losing ones who did not know what they are doing.. but did we lose ones which did know what they were doing... similar situation with Real Estate Agents....

Rey those numbers are going down fast. I wonder how long this pattern will continue. Interesting to see.

Rey---  I think some knew what they were doing, a lot didnt, but the ones who have stayed know how to create business, not have it drop in their lap.

There is going to a huge shake-out of LO's and RE agents in the next year and the key to survival is marketing.  Based on your blog here, I have confidence in you making it!!

Eric:  That is true!

British Homes Group:  It is true.  Some that we lose know what they were doing but I hate to say it "Its survival of the fittest!"

Ashley: My prediction is that by the end of 2007 we will have 7,000 Mortgage Agents.  That is a revised number from the beginning of the year when I predicted 8,000 by the end of 2007.

Aaron:  Thank you I appreciate the compliments.  I hope our profession can get back to the respect level it deserves.  Back in 2005 I hated telling people that I was an LO because they would scoff.  Now the reaction is "How's business?"  Soon it will be "Do you think you could help me get a loan?"
