Ever since I was a little girl, 8 has been my lucky number. I loved drawing 8s on scratch paper. Then when I was about 10 years old, a friend of my mother's became interested in numerology and told me that my lucky number was 8. Since I already liked the number, I was convinced it was true, and ever since then, when asked to pick a number, I usually pick 8.
I currently have two short sales that have been hitting one bump in the road after another. We have been through 2 buyers on one (over 5 months) and three buyers on the other (over 13 months), and negotiations with buyers and with the lenders have been somewhat rocky and stressful.
We have previously been told on both that we finally had approval, but before I could receive either one in writing, I'd get a call that the appraisal expired
or a fixture lien would not be paid after all or a loan got bumped into HAFA against the wishes of the borrower and taken away from the negotiator, etcetera, etcetera.
I woke up early this morning with a good feeling about today. Found an email from a couple we met at an open house who wants to have us help them buy a home, the sun is shining, and I'm thinking this could be the day that the approvals (or at least one of the two) comes through.
And look at my Active Rain point score! Could that be an omen? I think so - I'll let you know.
