Duck Shops on the Sound Side

Duck North Carolina has a huge variety of shops to please both our visitors and our locals. Many of the Duck Shops on the Sound Side offer gorgeous sound views in addition to their selection of goods. Look for these signs to share two of my favorites.

Duck Shops on the Sound Side

Wee Winks Square is a sprawling center on the sound to the immediate north to Duck United Methodist Church. During the vacation season the finest in fresh fruits and vegetables are found at the open air stand, Green Acre Market. Yum!

These Duck Shops on the Sound offer a wide variety. Begin with Lady Victorian for the finest in European fashion and the classics of style. Jewelery and accessories,gifts and home accessories are also here.

An ABC store is located in this building just before Beach Essentials. Beach Essentialsis a must see. In addition to beach supplies and souvenirs, you will delight in the jewelery selection. See my favorite - Larimar jewelery from the Caribbean.

The next building houses Dockside 'n Duck. Love fish? Enjoy cooking the best of the beach.

Move north to The Lucky Duck for gifts and home accessories. For the sports minded Kitty Hawk Sports is the place to shop ... and shop.

The Duck Shops on the Sound Side at the Waterfront Shopsprovide a special shopping experience. First, there are many shops here with a wide variety from coffee, pastry and books at Duck's Cottage Coffee and Books to The Kid's Store for a youthful shopping spree for younger set.

You'll want to stop by Donna Designs to treat yourself to wearable art. There are so many delightful shops here. Sea Dragon Gallery. North Beach Outfitters. Life's A Beach. Islands by Amity. Dazzles. Candy and Corks. And this is the short list. You will find more delights around each corner. Gifts. Culinary Delights. Home accessories. Jewelery. Candy. Sports adventure.

Oh, I mentioned a special shopping experience at these Duck Shops on the Sound Side. Well, you may not see anything so special as you park on the east side of the Waterfront Shops, but wait. Look for stairs between the buildings that lead to the entrances to each shop on the west. As you stroll the boardwalk to each store just take a minute. Relax. Enjoy the view. You deserve it!
