I received a notice that I had just been blocked! I am crushed...I am devastated!...why would anyone not want me in their fav five? I am hurt! Well, no I am not. I am actually okay with it. I am very open about my beliefs and my faith in God, and I understand that not everyone thinks and feels the way that I do. I am yet optimistic though :-)

God is a good God, and I will continue to tell that to anyone who will listen. I also create blogs about jokes, real estate virtual assistance, my home town, my favorite charity, my family...lots of topics. I am also very conscious of the fact that every person has the right to chose who and what they will believe in, and to be associated with whom they choose- in this and any other forum. I totally get and respect that. So for those of you who are my associates and friends in the Rain, I would like to take this time to say "thank you for being a friend" , I realize that you don't have to be!

I will continue to be the best me that I can be and I pray you will do the same!

God Bless.

I admire you both for remaining strong in your faith and professional convictions. It's a vital part of who you are and will serve you well. On the other side of the coin, some folks don't feel comfortable with their own faith or lack there of. I believe God blesses each of us gifts, talents, strenghts and very special qualities which may or may not be appreciated by everyone...and that in itself is another blessing. You have learned that lesson well! Stay proud, strong and in God's service...you will continued to be rewarded.

God bless.

God will bless you for the courage to stand up for Him.  I admire and respect the strength it takes to stand up when others are not willing.  If everyone in this business had your faith, the public's image of the integrity of those in our field would benefit us all.  Always remember, you reap what you sow......

Its difficult not to expression yourself as a child of God when you have an intimate relationship with Him. Its great that you are standing for Christ, remember "if one don't stand for something, one will fall for anything".

Gwendolyn:  Who or what blocked you?  I'm glad you won't let it get you down.    Why don't you start a group of  your own? I'll read your posts.  You answer to the highest authority anyway so being blocked is nothing and you already know that.

Gwendolyn, Gee I was blocked too, and when I looked at their profile they were -7thousand something. Thats right minus! I responded to a few poetry items and never bothered to check her profile.  Wonder if its the same person? With that said, every response is right one.

Gwendolyn,

The Lord knows who it is that blocked you, I guess it really doesn't matter!  I believe that the reason a person would block you is that the Holy Spirit is convicting them.  So it's not you or I they are rejecting but rather the Lord!  I going to pray for whoever it was and would encourage everyone else to do so as well.   Just turn it over to Holy Spirit!  'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty. Keep being bold in your testimony- you never know who is reading and what impact it may have on their lives - take this as a sign that you are doing the RIGHT thing, and be encouraged!

Gwendolyn-I was blocked once too and then they came back and wanted to add me as an associate.  I accepted... You are one of my associates and am so proud to know.  We can't sweat the small stuff...  I have to admit it hurt my feelings too but only for a minute.  Keep smiling girl....you are so awesome!

I'm not sure why someone would want to block someone. Wouldn't you just stop reading their post?! Maybe that was a dumb question, but since I haven't had it happen to me I don't really know.

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it. I like your posts. I don't always comment but I do read 'em.

Blocking regular, everyday people like us who want nothing more than to share a thought with a friend or acquaintance, is totally heartless and unacceptable behavior.

I joined a large Rotary Club when I first moved here.  Christmas was coming, so I emailed those whose email addresses were published in the club directory, a recipe for a great eggnog.

Within moments, I got a handful of emails telling me not to ever do that again, and three phone calls with the same message.

I had been a Rotarian in another city for 30 years.  I resigned from the new club.  Those guys aren't like me.  They don't know what they're missing.

Gwendolyn,

I'm sorry someone would block you. Frankly I don't understand why anyone would do that to anyone, unless they were being harrassed by the person , which I'm certain you were not doing.

Don't let it bother you, it's their loss as your heart is in the right place and you mean well whereever you go. They must have issues of some sort that make them act that way.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend,

Jo

Jo-Anne,

You're right it is their loss. But as Christians, we CANNOT keep quiet about the gospel of Jesus Christ. His blood saved our lives now and for eternity. When someone saves your life, you tell the world about it. For those who won't listen, on purpose, they KNOW their fate. Its as simple as that!

Vanessa.
