Now that the 100+ degree days are upon us, many Arizonans are looking for ways to stay cool. One of the most unique and easily accessed communities in the White Mountains is Forest Lakes, located right off of Highway 280 and Sheep Springs Road, half way between Payson and Heber. That is where you will find cool evenings and the lazy days of summer under a tall Ponderosa Pine! There are 6 fishing lakes within 10 miles: Woods Canyon Lake, Bear Canyon Lake, Willow Springs, Chevelon Lake, Black Canyon Lake, Knoll Lake and also Blue Ridge Resevoir. If you enjoy riding your ATV, hop on - there are more than 100 miles of off road trails on National Forest Service Land. The views are incredible not to mention the flora and fauna that abound. You can find horse stables if you prefer to ride or biking and hiking, as well. There are numberous camp grounds, but I have to say, the real estate is wonderful. You can find rustic cabins to multi-family custom mountain homes.

Al attended high school in New Jersey, just outside of Asbury Park (the easiest landmark). He couldn't wait to see sunshine, so he chose Arizona to attend college. Northern Arizona University was noted for their criminal justice program. Dawn graduated from Kubasaki High School on Okinawa. She moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona. She finally received her degrees from Arizona State University in Tempe. Al traveled the world working for the federal government as a Naval Criminal Investigative Service agent. Dawn lived in the Phoenix area & worked as a teacher and counselor for over 30 years. One night at Ruffino's Italian Restaurant, they met, fell in love & have been together ever since. Now, both retired from service careers, they decided to put their life experiences to work in a different realm - they entered the real estate profession at the end of the market surge. It was a lonnnggg slide downward - some might call it an E- ride! But, through the entire downturn, they've enjoyed helping young couples find their first home, retirees find the ideal community, & young families choose the perfect neighborhoods.
