Yes every market is different and being a Broker is more work than I ever dreamed it would be.
With the recent market conditions in the past few years it is tougher and tougher to get the job done. Sellers wanting to desperately sell and buyers wanting to get the best deal. Appraisers finding it hard to find comps to banks & attorney's trying to get the new HUD correct. Just in my third year of real estate I believe our contracts have changed three times and guess what? This coming January the whole contract will change this time in the state of North Carolina
It takes educated agents, patience and tolerance with banks, attorney's and all others involved. I enjoy a good challenge but it is the education & experience along the way that I really love. I thrive the most when I am learning something new. It's a feeling of excitement I get through a course. When a class or lesson is over I want more and I get that by putting what I learned into action. There is always something to learn in real estate.
Buying and Selling Real Estate in Franklin, NC is a lot more than my commission, it is about the people, the memories and looking at history. I love looking up real estate's history and seeing who owned it, how long and who sold it to them. It is amazing what you can find out when searching through deeds. A lot of the time I will know somebody that has been in the history or know of them. My Broker in Charge is fun to be around, she has been in real estate over 30 years. There is one home she has sold 4 times.
Yes being in Real Estate is a ton of work but I enjoy it.
