A BLIND realtor's "view" on our market.......and life

A blind agent's perspective of our market.  Some may know of  the phenomenal success story of Joseph Klatt, some may not.  If you have not, please visit my previous posts noted below.  They are life changing stories for many.

In internet marketing 101, the first few words posted are to get your attention.  Here is an email I received from Joseph on Tuesday (remember, he is blind):  His email subject line read:  "Photos of Raquel Welch"

Raquel Welch

OK, Joe, ya got my attention.  What they hey?  Yes, he sent me photos someone took of Raquel Welch with Joe at a book signing event.  So I replied, but I did not get the response I anticipated.  This is not surprising as Joe will constantly surprise me on what one imagines a life of being blind.

What impressed me about Raquel Welch had nothing to do with her looks.  She had her sister with her and they both were so genuine.  They knew who I was and that I had recently lost my Seeing Eye Dog Lawson.

So I had to get off topic and get his perspective of the market we have been in....especially that he has a brokerage office in California.....and here is his feedback.  I hope his feedback will make an impact on you:

So, now on to your question about how I am handling this challenging market we are in.  Each day I get up, suit up and show up for work.  I try to appreciate each and every blessing in my life and to be open to new challenges knowing that God often closes one door to then open another for me.  I have had property management accounts all during my career which generate some income on a monthly basis.  I believe we have seen the bottom of the market and opportunities abound for a person with investment money.  Managing property has its own challenges, particularly now with tenants struggling to pay rent.  I had a series of vacancies but I am now down to only two 1 bedroom apartments.  This is a good indicator that things are getting better.

When you are in Del Mar in July, give me a call.  If I am not at the Seeing Eye (I don't think they will be ready for me until September) we can get together to discuss Real Estate and, if you would like me to do so, I will autograph your copy of DEAL MAKER.  It just occured to me that, if I wre managing a Real Estate office, I would consider helping my agents by either telling them about DEAL MAKER or, as one large San Diego office did, buy a dozen copies of the book to distribute to its agents.  A manager of a Real Estate office in Florida sent me an email to tell me she was doing much the same thing.  For those people who are high tech, DEAL MAKER is available in an e-book format from the publisher for only $10.  I did a national internet interview which will be broadcast in July.  It will be interesting to find out how that sparks interest in DEAL MAKER.  Michael Forbes and I have agreed in principle to write a second book entitled "PEACE MAKER" the last chapter of which will be about Jesus Christ.  We are looking towards 2011 for PEACE MAKER to be published.  It is very minimal in its concept at this point.

Be well, God bless you and your family and remember to always try to be kind.  Blessings to you, Joe
