Schweitzer Says Hello to Summer in Typical Grand Fashion
Schweitzer Mountain Summer Calendar of Events
Sandpoint, ID - Saturday, June 26. Schweitzer Mountain Resort will hold its annual Summer Celebration, 11 am - 5 pm, featuring live music by David Boone and The Rub. Scenic chairlift rides will be free of charge for all ages. The lift ascends 1700 vertical feet where you can make the choice to hike, bike or ride the lift back down.
"This is the best way to experience what summer is all about at Schweitzer." said Events Manager Brandon Peterson, "you can ride the lift, hike, bike and listen to great music - all for free... It's like a Schweitzer test drive."
Schweitzer is bringing back the Power Tower climbing wall and bungee trampoline. It is located outside the Source, where guests can visit the Activity Center and rent mountain bikes. The celebration will also feature a variety of arts and crafts booths, barbecue and children's games. The barbecue will be fired up from 11 am - 5 pm featuring all of Chef Brett's specialties. Schweitzer's Gourmandie Market and retail stores will also be open for snacks and shopping.
At the top of the mountain guests can stop into the Summit Activity Center to learn about hiking and biking trails, gear up for disc golf or simply enjoy a tasty beverage.
