I've decided to author a blog dedicated to helping real estate professionals get healthy

For years I worked in sales and spent half the month on the road. Traveling, working long hours and not taking care of myself took a toll on my health and my life. I felt like I was falling into a downward spiral and I knew I had to make a change. So I did. I soon realized that by adopting some simple habits, I could feel like myself again.

I've spent years studying and testing various theories and perspectives on health, nutrition, fitness, diet, natural healing, movement, body and mind balance, and overall wellness.  I followed my passion for optimal health and traveled to New York last year to do an amazing six month course to get my Holistic Health Counseling Certification with leading nutrition experts like Dr. Andrew Weil, David Wolfe and Deepak Chopra.

In my blog, I'll share what I've learned and healthy tips with something for everyone: those who know a lot and those who are looking to learn. I welcome questions, suggestions and feedback.

My hope is that this blog will become your inspiration and guide to set goals and make a positive life change.

Lauren, I'm guessing that there are many real estate people who will be better off making some changes.  I will be interested to see what you have to share.

Lauren, I agree. As agents, most of us don't take care of ourselves as we should. We are always thinking about our client or family first.

So 20 hour work days are a bad thing? I too look forward to see what you will have to say. I know I have pushed to the limit for years and need to rethink my game plan.

David - I have a hunch that you are right. I look forward to sharing with you.

Ron - You are right. It is easy to forget to take care of ourselves when we are giving to everyone else. If we spend just ten minutes per day for ourselves, we will be in a position to give so much more to others.

Randy - A 20 hour work day is OK here and there but balance is key. You are not alone - we've all pushed our limit. I hope my blog will help inspire you to rethink and revise your game plan.

Your timing couldn't be more perfect!  Just today, I was talking with a good friend of mine about health changes we can and should make for our physical and spiritual health.  Then I get online with AR and see your featured post, and this one kicking it all off.  Nice cosmic affirmation that I made the right decision today. Thanks!
