Is there a reason why you guys charge $20 a person to go look at the homes?  I feel that is a steep price and discourages people to come look at the beautiful craftman ship of the homes?  I think that if you lowered the price to say $5 or so you have a much larger turn out.  Or even have it for free?  I know of other tour of the homes that are free.  It seems as though you would want people to come look at what the companies can do.

Brendon~ I am not affliliated with the Builder's Association which holds this event. However, the regular priced ticket is $12. The $20 ticket is for the "Color and Design" tour with the interior designers and decorators. My business is GreatStages Home Staging and ReDesign, www.greatstages.com.

These events are very expensive to put on. I would love to know where you have gone that is able to do it for free. It would be interesting to see just how they accomplished that.

Thanks for the post Kathy,

The Sponsors for the show also had a good number of $2 off coupons around town, to help lower the visitor's cost.  If you're going next year make sure to check for those offers.

We went on the 25th, and have posted a report on our blog.

Best,

John

Kathy - Just found your post here - we have a "Parade of Homes" in the Raleigh/Triangle area that is supported by the HBA, or at least has been so far!  They support the event by charging each builder a significant fee to be part of the parade.  It will be interesting to see how this is supported in the future, and also interesting to note that other areas of the country support this event with other methods!
