We already put up a blurb last Friday that ActiveRain won the Inman News innovators award for "Most Innovative Real Estate Media Site"  I finally was able to dig up a picture of the presentation so I thought I'd post it here.  Lucky for them they didn't let me give a speech.

"I'd like to start off by thanking all forty two thousand members of the ActiveRain Real Estate Network. Lets start alphabetically with..."

Lots more innovation to come over the next year, one trophy might get lonely on it's own.

Trouble. It looks like trouble to me.

I didn't recognize JW without his triumphant Rocky pose, and Caleb has no questionable substance hanging from his ear. Matt, you are recognizable- great grin.

Actually, you all look like choir boys standing there... :)

Oh, and Congratulations!!!

Congratulations guys.  You've got a great thing going.  And it was a pleasure meeting all of you at Inman Connect.  Btw, it looks as though you've added 1,000 new members since the conference.  Awesome!

p.s. you may want to change the word "one" to "won" in your post.

Congratulations to you all!  Hopefully, someday you can make the trek to AZ, so we can meet you too - seems like the rest of the world has already has this honor.  Can't wait to see what you do next.

Now, can somebody please explain these new graphics? Where are you coming up with these words?

Hi Matt,

An Award well deserved. To remember when I signed up on ActiveRain  that I had no idea what it was about. I have invited many that I know, explaining clearly and they seem to ignore. I never take it personally because I had spoken to each one and they asked me to invite them. Maybe a little intimidating if you are totally new to social blogging sites.

Along with the award, I know that it is also your goal to help others know of the wonderful opportunities on this site. I have a couple recommendations that may help those of us who are committed with our lives to the benefit, growth and opportunity of this AWARD WINNING site.

  1. A better format for inviting people with at least a bit of overview about ActiveRain and what is goals and aspirations are. ( including the award mention and the way Google sees us)
  2. A way to do a second follow up e-mail to those who may never have received the first invitation due to spam arrest etc.
  3. A place to put in a business telephone number in the invitee list (if known) to do personal follow-ups if desired.

Congratulations and please know how proud I am to be associated with you. Looking forward to the opportunity to meet you and your partners at upcoming events.

BTW, NAR is coming to San Diego for its fall meeting in 2009. I had proposed that ActiveRain come and let's have as many of ActiveRain members come as possible. You could line up a speaker or two at an event that can enable your members with new ideas and always reinforcing the social aspects of networking with each other. Active Rain members could register and all costs offset. More importantly, the synergy would take place would blow other sites out of the water. Yeah!

Just a few thoughts, sorry this is so long. :-)

I didn't realize that AR is up to 42k members.  What a number in just over a year.  I'm impressed with the visionaries of AR.  Keep up the good work.

I think they should give the awards on the first day.  Then we could go around for days celebrating, instead of right before everyone leaves town.

Congratulations again.

your thanks to 40,000 would already be outdated, you are pushing 43,000 this AM!  The rate is staggering of new members!
