Dynamite Tile and Grout Cleaning Products

My husband and I recently decided to remodel our kitchen.  We removed a pantry that opened the kitchen to the rest of the house.  In the process of removing the pantry, we had to replace 3 ceramic floor tiles.  (Thank God it was 3 tiles as our pattern is not made anymore and we only had 4 tiles left!)

Once the new tiles were in, you could really see how our older tile and grout had become so dirty over the 11 years since the tile has been installed.  Over the years I had used all sorts of cleaners on the tile but could never made the tiles look like new.

Our contractor suggested we try a product called SUPER CLEAN http://www.superclean.com/index.php  This product is a miracle!!!  You just spray it on the tile, let it sit for a couple of minutes and then scrub it a bit and surprise.............the dirt and grime disappear!  SUPER CLEAN is in a purple plastic bottle.  I found it at Wal-Mart in the automotive section.  It is a multi-purpose cleaner degreaser.

SUPER CLEAN will clean up the grout quite a bit, however the grout won't look new.  There is another product we have been using to clean the grout called FINAZZLE http://www.finazzle.com   We used white grout for our floor tile when the condo was built.  FINAZZLE is the only product that I have found that will bring the old white grout back from gray to white again.  FINAZZLE can be found at Lowes.

If you have listing that has a ceramic tile floor that needs a "pick me up" I would recommend that the seller try these products.  I still can't believe the difference they have made on our floors.

The tile cleaning is the last step of our remodeling project.  I now have a better understanding of why buyers want new construction.  I am thankful that we waited until after season to do this.  Trying to work with buyers and live with a kitchen that is torn apart would have driven me over the edge!  Don and I don't plan to move away from Pelican Bay and L'Ambiance any time soon.

The Gulf water temperature was 92 degrees yesterday.  Relaxing in the warm Gulf water was like being in a hot tub - - only much more fun!
