Somebody made a big boo-boo:

Pillar hit on Meyer Blvd and Oak St

 

 

I noticed this on my way to the office the other day.

Somebody took out one of the pillars in Brookside!

It looks like someone tried to drive through on the sidewalk! See the pile of stones that used to be a pillar?

The sidewalk along Meyer Blvd is extra wide making it a great place to run, walk, or stroll.Children often ride their bicycles and skateboards along this kansas City Boulevard in Brookside.

The neighborhood association will have to pay a brick mason to put all the pieces back together.

Hopefully, the driver was well-insured.

The pillars and statuary found throughout the Brookside neighborhoods is just another detail that makes the neighborhoods so inviting.

This pillar is in the Oak Meyer Gardens territory. Most of the homes along Meyer Blvd from Holmes Road to Oak Street are duplexes - nice duplexes.The top photo depicts one of the duplexes.

South or north of Meyer is mostly single family homes. You can just see one beyond the trees in this lower photo.
