My Bright Idea -- To Be SHARED With My Colleagues on Active Rain

Several months ago, I had an idea.  I ran it by Bob Stewart, and he said he'd feature it once it was done.  Then I talked with my web guy -- because I am NOT A COMPUTER PROGRAMMER.

My web guy was ALL for it . . . he even had a few suggestions.  And then . . .

{Sounds of Crickets Chirping} 

NOTHING!!  I tried calling him, emailing him . . . "Hmmmmm . . . what's up with our project?"

I was diappointed to say the least, and thought my bright idea would not come to fruition.

Well, after reading a few posts today, and this one in particular by Active Rain member Richie Nagger Foreclosed Owner Renter To Squatter Trespasser Part I and . . .

ESPECIALLY, AFTER READING THE COMMENT MADE BY JEANNA DIXON  got me to think about my idea.  Jeanna writes, in part: 

". . . I wonder who is tracking the statistics for foreclosures that took place DURING the modification process?  . . . Why are WE ALLOWING THIS?"

I think it's time for me to share my idea.  But first, a little background:

On Feb. 26, 2010 I posted a blog Too Little Too Late -- Short Sale Speculation.   One of the comments I read was from our own Missy Caulk.  It was right after reading Missy's comment that the LIGHT BULB went on for me.  . . . READ MISSY'S COMMENT

With that comment, this was my bright idea:

I want to develop a VIRTUAL walk on Washington. A website where Americans who have been affected, are affected, and will be affected by the "financial crisis" can have a voice.   I've registered the domains:  TheVoiceOfTheAmericanPeople.com . . . and . . . TheVoiceOfAmericas.com for the project and currently, they are parked.

My conceptis to have a Virtual Walk on the Mall of Washington, where Americans can register, write what happened to them as a result of the manipulations on Wall St., and the banking industry.  Foreclosures, Short Sales, Bankruptcy, Loan Modifications, ruined credit, displacements, loss of homes, loss of values, loss of the American Dream . . .

And with each registrant telling their story, their email will be AUTOMATICALLY FORWARDED to their representative -- local, and national. 

This crisis AFFECTS US ALL, and NO ONE (Senators, Congress, Local Politicians) SEEMS TO BE LISTENING TO US -- THE VOICE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!

THE WORST FINANCIAL CRISIS OF OUR GENERATION. . . and The Voice of the American Peopleneeds to be heard.  Not the BIG BANK LOBBYISTS -- who have done a great job keeping the truth of HOW MANY AMERICANS THIS HAS AFFECTED -- silent and . . . unfortunately with MANY, apathy runs high.  Out of sight out of mind.  I would like to hear from The Voice of the American People.

Please share your thoughts.  I have no idea what else to do at this point. I think the idea is a worthy one!  I NEED A PROGRAMMER!!
