RainCamp Rocks in DC!

Awesome, amazing, and inspiring – that just about sums it up for the two days I spent at RainCamp in DC. I could hardly keep up with taking notes and being impressed by this group of top bloggers, all led by the dynamic Brad Andersohn, Bob Stewart and Ben Kinney.

Dynamic Brad RainMakers got a bracelet

Ben and Bob - so serious!

There were so many high points! Being on a panel with Lenn Harley, Brian Block, Margaret Woda, and Art Kruschka was an honor.

What incredible timing....so exciting when the legendary Lenn Harley Hits a Million Points Sitting Next to Margaret Rome

And mostly just being immersed in the high energy, high learning, and great fun of some 300 Rainers coming together to learn and share.

Margaret Woda, Art Kruschka, Margaret Rome

Lenn Harley crossed 1,000,000 points! Margaret Rome, Martha Brown, Ben Kinney

As Martha Brown's Blog said so diplomatically, several of us were not from the "30 Under 30" group; I tend to call us "seasoned." But we all are active bloggers and proud RainMakers. Being with this group was great, and as they say these days, RainCamp rocks in DC!

Margaret,

It was an absolute pleasure to share the stage with you, Lenn, Margaret, and Art.  While I'm not under 30 anymore, I was probably the only one on the panel with less than 30 years experience in real estate.  What an honor!

I haven't had much time to digest all that was discussed last Thursday, because it's been go go go since then with hardly a minute to rest between buyers, offers, and listing appointments.  When it (Active) Rains it pours!

Martha and Brian HomeRome RealtyHi Brian, I have only been in real estate for 20 years..of course  this is my 3rd career.

It is Actively Raining here also..with showings, contracts to write, settlements and all the wonderful things that go along with this Active business.

Love the way you and Martha were color coordinated.

Margaret, it was a pleasure meeting you in DC, and I loved what you were saying about priorities, what is really an emergency and what is not. I love your blog, thanks for always inspiring. By the way, we all now  know the truth, those of us who were there know that Ellie is not really shy.....she had us all believing....

Tammy, It is worth the flight. Just stay a day before and after and you can make a great mini vacation with the friends  who live inside your computer.

Margaret,  I can't agree with you more!!  Raincamp was the best.  I learned so much in such a short period of time and they didn't even try  to sell us books and cd's etc.

Margaret - what a great time it was seeing you and finally meeting you in person.  Sorry it has taken me so long to get to your post to comment, I was on vacation in Disney with the boys.  Thanks for coming to RC in DC and for supporting this event, it's the members like you that really make it fun and memorable for us all.  :-))

Brad, You are wonderful both on stage and off. You are so willing to give your advice and expertise on a one on one. That generosity was not overlooked by me! With a great deal of appreciation for all you do!

I suspect I'll never get to a RainCamp because I doubt they'll be coming to San Diego. Everyone seems to think that Southern California means Los Angeles, so the ugly stepchild gets left out in the cold. It's difficult to shut down thriving businesses for any amount of time when you're self-employed, especially in this economy. Gotta get the money while the gettin' is good.
