Truth is the new hate speech: Paypal shuts down Pamela Geller

You should be allowed to express your views as you wish.

Why would you oppose a mosque near the 911 site?  Do you have an opinion on the go go bars near the site? 

John - unfortunately, it appears that certain groups have called the truth, or facts, hate speech for some time.

Why don't they wake up? I just might remove PayPal from my site for their intolerance. :)

John, Our Pastor was talking about the intolerance we are going to be facing in the coming days.  I'm afraid this is just the beginning!  We do need to raise our voices though. We spent too much with our eyes closed. I just hope our eyes have opened in time.

When the left says 'Hate Speech', what they really mean is 'speech they hate'...

@ Michael - Go Go bars near the 911 site?  I've got an opinion on that, let Capitalism reign free (my guess is they were there before that atrocity)... unless we get offended by it, of course.

John - Mixed feelings on this and since you are my verbal trampoline (bouncing my ideas/ideals off of your posts and commentary on such at the moment) I shall pontificate.  Love the word though it rarely sounds respectable in actual conversation.

Perhaps "Paypal" has an issue with the following:

If that's the case, screw Paypal.  I'm not totally sure if that's the case, but that's an initial thought.  What I'm not about to do is to attribute truth to Paypal or the Atlas Shrugged Site, for that matter.  Doth protest too much in both cases.  What I will say is that I do believe there is a reactionary Being, a thoughtful Being, and an American.  What makes people great is the mixture.  What makes Gods, GOD, is our perception.  What makes an American an American is we can talk about it, freely on most occassions.

I no longer jump to the automatic conclusion that when one disagrees with me, it's automatically wrong or hate speech.  I'd rather learn and grow.  Or be the illegitamate son of John Lennon just in case I don't have a podium to stand on.

As far as anything Muslim built near the focal point of one of the most horrific attacks on our country that we'll probably (and hopefully) ever see, I'd say most of them are good folks and I don't have a problem with it.  My problem is that we should build there as well, as a people and a nation.  And our people and nation is not Christian, Muslim, Mormon, Mayan, Indian, or the reminants of L. Ron Hubbard's dying dream ... we are simply existing beings in a very interesting world.
