I'm able to embed, but no matter which size I choose there is some type of box that surrounds the entire AR blog posting section making it as wide as the screen and moves the right hand column of the blog down below the make a remark box.
Trulia does say AR has a problem.
Can you help?"
Well, when I pasted the TruliaStats embed code into this post and saved to draft, I got the same result he did. So, I deleted two portions of the HTML as highlighted in blue below. AR appears to be having trouble with the table tags they are using. As soon as they are gone, it works just fine.
This takes care of the problem. Here is an example using Santa Clarita, CA stats.
For Everyone: The best way to do this is to paste the embed code from Trulia in a text editor. Remove the table tags, as shown in blue above, and then copy and paste that edited embed code into your AR post. It gets way to confusing in the HTML editor to do it there. Especailly when you have more than one graph.
Jeff, thanks for your persistence. I found one extra word of code from my "repair" everything, including yours looks ok on FireFox.
You are able to place more than one chart on a blog. Average and Median. When you click on Inventory on the bottom right corner, it will show the increase/decrease
Thanks Jeff, I did not know about using Trulia stats on my webpage - now I do and did not have to go through the growing pains of trying to figure it out - perfect timing.
Kevin... I can't even begin to comment on the difference in value. My goal here was to help a fellow AR member figure out how to get them embedded. I haven't looked at the veracity of the data at all. Someone else will have to render that opinion.
Kevin... I didn't think you were being confrontational at all. I wish I could answer the question. I don't really enjoy not being able to answer questions. :)
Jeff, you cease to amaze me with your knowledge. I hadn't tried incorporating these yet, but with the trouble that Gary had, I would have been pulling my hair out. You've officially been bookmarked (again) :)
Thanks for the post - Can you also post the Trulia widget in the sidebar - I tried yesterday and it wasn't working very well. I Will play around with this code.
Jeff, had it not been for you, I never would have had the courage to mess with HTML code. Thanks for giving us such accurate and easy to follow instructions to make us feel like pros.
Whoa, as a newbie, I'm convinced of just how much I don't know about this stuff but must learn! I must confess that I could only follow part of it so I know I need your blog! I'll be working on improving!
Sarah... we're all learning. I feel the same way every day. There is so much I don't know. It's the hunger for knowledge that will keep you and the rest of us ahead of the game.
Great post Jeff- feel free to include any of these in the NP Dodge Group- I know there are many RES questions right now as everybody gets used to using it.
Jeff you are brilliant and so kind to help all of us non-technologically inclined folks out.
I can't even figure out how to make my signature line at the end of a blog look cool :) I'm going to read up on your training stuff now. Thanks Jeff!!!
Hey Garrett, the new record sounds great I'm gonna try and make it to the next show around here, You cats are outta sight!.
I am from Turkmenistan and know bad English, give true I wrote the following sentence: "Comparison shop for the lowest prices, check store ratings read product reviews before you buy."
