The J.E.Henry trail is perfect for walking your best friend along the river, and in the winter it doubles as a cross-country ski trail. There are many hidden granite outcroppings where a cool dip on a hot summers day would be quite refreshing (swimming holes are all along the trails).

Twenty acres of new ski-able slopes are nearing completion on the South Mountain side of Loon Mountain Resort. Not many recreation areas are under going a growth spurt but the White Mountains National Forest land is a huge draw for people in the New England states and expansion is on-going. The South Peak Resort owners will be getting a new private lift in their community…ski from your home to lift, and ride it right to the main slopes of Loon Mountain.
