Myspace?

God gave us to one another...to love always.

Do you have a myspace page? I do, I keep my space clean and related to business and my faith in God. II used to think that it was just for kids, but I have found that many of my peers make use of this forum. I also used to think that I would have no control over what others posted, but I have complete control over what I allow my friends to post.
I have made contact with classmates, family, and friends, and I have made some new business contacts as well.

Gwendolyn, thanks for asking about myspace. I actually signed up and then became very discouraged when I started seeing such obscenities and filth. Since I was very unfamiliar with what I was getting myself into, I have not used it since. I guess I should take another look and maybe I can be one of the positive contributors such as yourself and Alexander who will give people an alternative to viewing something clean and positive.

Thanks for sharing. I have been contemplating getting a MySpace page. I just may have to check it out now!!!

I have one and do not remember my url for the same reason Donna Yates mentioned. Perhaps i too will take another look. Hey how do we get the fireworks on our pics?

I am glad that some of you are reconsidering using Myspace. I looked at it a few years ago and I thought...nah, this isn't for me...But then I revisited it and realized that I have control of MySpace, who has access, and what they post.

So now I like it!

Hi Gwendolyn,

I started a MySpace page in May 2006 when my 19 year old daughter and her husband moved to Turkey. My son-in-law Chris is in the Air Force and it seemed like a great way to stay in touch. I know a lot of people who use MySpace as an additional tool to market their business but I never have personally felt comfortable doing that with my business. How much business does your MySpace page bring? If this is a source I'm overlooking, I may have to redevelop my page to be more business focused - after all of the trouble of setting up the page, we hardly ever use it - we IM and e-mail each other constantly. :)
