My all time favorite real estate movies are:

  • The Money Pit
  • Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House
  • Housesitter
  • Pacific Heights
  • Duplex
  • The Haunted Mansion
  • The Super

Sometimes, I think about some of these movies when I am touring houses or thinking about real estate problems.  Most of them are funny as we could all lighted up sometimes.  It is great to give clients advice that they can identify with and having seen a movie really helps them understand.  Yes, the money pit LOL comes up the most.

What else do I need to see?

Funny Farm with Chevy Chase is worth watching --- You'll associate it with the "Too Happy" neighbors / neighborhoods you go into....

The Money Pit was an all time favorite.  I am just completing renovation on my own home.  The men working here knew where more stuff was than I did.  I just kept thinking about the time the construction worker was in their medicine cabinet and told Shelly Long's character she was almost out of birth control pills.
