Flower City Parada logo

Brampton, Ontario, Canada, known as Flower City is celebrating summer, with a huge kick off this Saturday, June 19th, 2010 and you don't want to miss a moment of it.

The Brampton Farmers' Market will be opening for the season on Main St. offering fresh and crisp veggies, fruit, pies and treats. There will be a pancake breakfast, the Brampton Blooms flower show and of course the Brampton Flower City Parade!

The parade will start at 2:00 p.m. beginning at Church St. travelling along Main St through the downtown area and winding up at Frederick Street around 4:00 p.m.. There will be something for everyone with flowered floats, marching bands, clowns of course, and even the new Zum bus will be making an appearance.  Come on out and take part, it's going to be a great time!

What can I say? What is there not to like about a parade especially if it is your own town....

It should be a great day Andrea and we will try, last year it rained, but this year it is scheduled to be full sun!

We are Marc, the spring started out like summer and then went to the cats and dogs as in raining cats & dogs, so yes bring on summer!!!

Especially when that parade is bookended with a pancake breakfast and a flower show Michael!

Thanks Roger, now if you are doing nothing tomorrow, you could slip on over!

Yes, it is a celebration Craig, nothing beats fresh produce & fruit.

I haven't seen any pictures in your blog of the Flower City Parade. Did you not go? How could you not go? And if you went, how could you go and not take pictures? What am I going to do with you two?
