What does Top Chef Washington D.C. have to do with Real Estate?

 

Who loves Top Chef???  I do!!!!

 I love watching these chefs pushing themselves to their outer limits. 

I like watching how they perform under pressure. 

I like to see how they handle the stress, if it makes them a better person or someone that needs to be thrown down the grease trap.

SOUNDS LIKE REAL ESTATE TO ME.

I can usually get my sons and husband to watch with me.  (I think Padma may have something to do with that.)  A couple years ago.  My family had a competition of our own.  We were assigned an aisle at the grocery store.  We could only use ingredients from that aisle to create a delicious dinner.  My husband and I were the competitors and our son's were the judges.  We had so much fun that night.  I lost to my husband because I broke a major rule.  Keep it simple.  I am a better cook than my husband and I set out to prove it.  I got to complicated and he kept it simple, clean and tasty.  My dish fell flat because every flavor became mush and competed for the taste bud.

Okay, do you see where I am going with this?  Yep, keep your real estate business SIMPLE.  Don't feel you have to prove yourself.  Be genuine.  Be helpful.  Be clear and concise with your objectives and you will succeed in this game we call REAL ESTATE.

Top Chef is on Bravo Wednesday nights at 9 EST.
