o.k. I have to admit that for the most part this year has been tolerable......this week the temp has been over 100 everyday with NO rain at all in our area!!! The last time we reached over 100 was 7 years ago!
In the meantime, we are having an outdoor kitchen installed........the cement was poured yesterday and it looks great the way that it glazed over smooth so when the acid stain is applied it will look real nice. I am excited this will be the first time that my precious mother in law will be able to enjoy a nice cookout at our house with out having to set up in the garage!
See she cannot walk up stairs and she has never been inside our house or on the old deck that we once had b.c of the stairs. Now the out door kitchen will be ground level!!!!! In the past we had served food from the cookouts in the garage and she could only stay for about an hour then it would be too hot for her. She is 78 and we realize she may not live much longer so we enjoy trying to do as much for her and with her as we can now.........so on Labor Day we should be able to have the first celebration with her in the new kitchen!!!!!!!
