When I woke up Thursday to a TON of mail regarding an extension in the Home-buyer Tax Credit Deadline, I was amped! Stoked! I was just plain ol EXCITED about the positive implications to my beloved town of St. Augustine, FL and the real estate industry in general. I passed on the e-mails and even blogged about it. Yeah!
However, I jumped the gun. After some additional research, the tax credit has NOT been extended. (BUMMER)
Since the news wires and active Real Estate Agent's (like me) e-mails were buzzing with extension reports, maybe there is something in the works?
Here is a question.... Do you think the extended tax credit bolstered real estate sales (and the economy) during the first half of 2010?
Have you seen a decline in sales activity in your market area since April 30th? (I know that is a second question, but I have only had one cup of coffee yet this morning)
