is anyone besides me having nightmare loans with the major loan companies. I am beginning to hate them all and will do my best to stick to the local lenders that don't lie to you and tell you "next Friday for sure" and then let you know that it is still in underwriting. @%^&((&$*&
Hi Patti,
Yes, I stick with my local lender whenever possible. No problems so far!!
Steve
The tax credit deadline has put a huge stress on mortgage company capacity regardless of who the company is. Our company has processors, underwriters, and closers all working overtime hours to try to stay on top of the volume.
I have been warning buyers and agents for weeks now. Getting a mortgage in May and June is like shopping on Christmas Eve. You cant just walk into a store, pick up what you want and get checked out in 5 minutes. Everyone waiting until the same time to try to meet the same closing date range is bound to have its challenges.
I always try to tell everyone realistic closing times. The problem is that buyers and agents don't really want to hear that.
I have been having problems as well...and while I will agree wtih Rodney to a point....taking over 6 weeks to get an approval....and then another 3 weeks for conditions seems a bit unreasonable to me....so my frustration level has hit an all time high lately! I have a couple of other lenders I have been funnelling stuff to and that has been a bit smoother! now to get these last 3 with my problem lending company closed! uuggghhh
